Did you all know we have a third dog?

Probably not. I haven't mentioned him much. His name is Lucky. He's been outside for a year strait next month. He stays in a cage all day and night. No one plays with him, and he has gained weight, due to lack of exercise. Jill feeds him once a day, and that's it. He has toys in the enclosure, and is expected to be happy like that.

Yesterday he wanted out. And out he went. Literally tore a hole in the 14 guage aluminum(Yeah, not very strong) wire, and took off. He was out all night. I hope he was happy there. Then, Jill found him today, held by a road worker or something. When I came home from work, he was tied to a tree with a steel cable. I was made to fix the hole in the fence with a board. Some part of me wants to go out at like, 3AM, and just open the cage and let him go. Another part of me wants to call the humane society anonymously and tell them about Lucky.

This woman was not meant to have an animal. She got him in order to replace another dog, who had hung itself on a run(one of the reasons I won't use one for my dogs). She got him, but didn't have the time to devote to a new dog. She had just gone through a divorce, she worked 9 to 5 everyday, and was raising Jennifer, who wanted a new animal. So they got Lucky, a half rottwieler half something else mutt. That was 10 years ago. Since then, he had no training, stayed out all night, was tortured by neighbors in Middletown, and left out in an enclosure his whole life. He's a strong dog, and Jill can never get a hold of him, and lets the dog drag her around. He only came in during the nights, until this past year, when he was left out all winter long. Jill would say that she 'never had time' to get the dog trained. Of course she didn't. Working all day, coming home to a dysfunctional child who sits aroud watching tv and getting fatter, and not having the time to even cook a meal, of course she didn't have time to raise a dog.

Jennifer cried when Lucky ran away last night. Why she cried, I have no idea. She was probably sad, but all in all, she has no reason to be. I've never seen her devote any of her free time to playing with that dog. Of course, they'd simply chalk it up to the fact that he was 'too wild' to play with.

The dog is feral.
The dog looks like it has mange.
The dog cries everytime we're outside.

But now we have two inside dogs, and one that sits outside, like the forgotten child, last picked at dodge ball. Of course in Jill's eyes, why not get a second golden retriever, so that we can further forget about the black thing in the enclosure in the back yard. This woman does not deserve any dogs.

One of the only reasons I don't call the humane society, is because I don't want them to take Dusty away. They'd take one look at Lucky, and then see Jill as unfit to own any animals, which means they'd take my dog away.

Sometimes...

I really hate that woman.

Just let them know that Dusty is YOUR dog, not hers. Or hide Dusty someplace until after they leave. The only real problem I see with this is, will Jill (or Jennifer or whoever) could retaliate against you and do something to your dog. And harming animals incites John harming human bodies with a stilson wrench and a Craftsman Nail Gun.

Rob, when you get this, give me a call. Im going to work tomorrow, friday, and getting training supplies. Ill grab a picture of Lucky and put a poster up at work so he can be adopted. I dont know if Jill would agree, but she should if she doesnt want someone *cough* to call about the dog.

I agree with Amanda...

That woman shouldn't be allowed to have pets. You know how much it upsets/pisses me off to see poor Lucky out there, totally neglected and forgotten about. If I had my own place, and the money, I'd be more than happy to take the time to own and train Lucky. No animal deserves that kind of treatment. Or lack there of.

Definitely put Lucky up for adoption with Amanda's help. Lucky deserves better.

Isn't it kind of ironic that his name is "Lucky"?

And Dusty is an AWESOME dog.

Good luck, bro.
